Emily Marcus
Emily Marcus, also known as Emily Blair, graduated from Chapman University in 2019 with a B.A. in Strategic and Corporate Communication and a cluster in leadership. She transferred from UC Davis in search of a more boutique and personalized college experience, which she found at Chapman. Emily particularly enjoyed her courses in Theories of Persuasion, Message Design, and Crisis Management, classes she credits with helping lay the foundation for her future career. Shortly after graduating, she founded Emily Blair Media LLC, a public relations firm. Emily attributes much of her company’s success to her education and experiences as an SCC student at Chapman. Today, she gives back by hosting a career summit for current students to attend!
Emily Elizabeth Duong
Emily Elizabeth transferred to Chapman her junior year from UC Irvine and graduated in 2019 as a Strategic and Corporate Communication major and a minor in Entrepreneurship. She is now the founder of a boutique marketing agency Loshatten Co., is the host of the podcast What Fulfills You?, and lives in New York! Blue Kim
Blue Kim is a Strategic and Corporate Communication graduate from 2020. She is now a full time influencer and content creator, and has been on reality television. Blakeley Burmester
Blakeley graduated from the School of Communication in 2023 with a B.A. in Strategic and Corporate Communication. She currently works as a freelance marketing specialist, a career that heavily correlates with what she learned at Chapman and grew to love through her experiences in SoC! She learned not only about communication and marketing, but also how to present herself to others through resume building, networking, interviewing skills, and other aspects of her education in SCC!
Summer Solomon
Summer graduated from the School of Communication in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a minor in History. She is starting a hospitality job in June of 2025 with Marriott's leadership development program. Listen to her discuss specific SoC resources and classes that have set her up for success post-grad!
Vanessa Gilles
Vanessa Gilles graduated from Chapman in 2020 with a B.A. in Strategic and Corporate Communication and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. Today, Vanessa serves as a Senior Account Manager of Partnership Services at the Los Angeles Angels, where she manages corporate sponsorships and strategic partnerships. She continues to credit her School of Communication education for giving her strong connections with many Chapman faculty members and the tools to thrive in her career.
